“San Carlo” originates on the Montello slopes, guarded by the eponymous ancient shrine. Here the very low per vine and per hectare yields, combined with the exposure to the sun and a late harvesting of the grapes at their highest stage of ripeness result in polyphenolic richness suitable for a great ageing wine. Aged in French oak barriques for 12-14 months, 6 months in 25 hl casks and minimum 9 months in bottles before being placed on the market. This outstanding meditation wine is only produced on the best vintages. It should be served at temperatures of 18-20 °C.
